Highgrove's Wildflower Meadow has a vital role in supporting the
diverse organic life of the garden. Following the discovery of a French archive
document reminiscent of the Wildflower Meadow's meandering serpentine path, the
artwork was adapted to include acer trees, and Japanese maples and beehives, a
gift from Fortnum & Mason that is of the utmost importance to the gardens'
natural sustainability. Meadow flowers, including fritillaries, are joined by
muntjac deer and sheep, who graze the meadow seasonally to aid with growth,
mischievous foxes, and regal pheasants.
